For some people, coming to Oxford is not easy. Especially for partners and family members, when not affiliated with the university, the city may be unfriendly at first. Notwithstanding the beautiful gardens and buildings, it also has its high walls and thick gates. Being part of the Newcomers community completely changed my experience. The group's dedication to embracing all, regardless of origins, backgrounds, and beliefs made me feel welcome and transformed my stay here for the better. We welcome any member to ask for help, advice and support.

Our committee of volunteers aims to provide a friendly and stimulating environment for newcomers to meet, settle into the Oxford community, and explore life in the city and its surroundings.

The Committee meets twice a term, and all members are involved in decision-making. All committee members help to promote OUNC, recruit new volunteers, and support events.

All members of the Club shall be invited to attend and shall be entitled to vote at the AGM. The quorum for the AGM shall be fifteen members (who may attend in person or virtually).
